The Northern Norway group
Bufetat is one of the partners in the project and our contact person, Bodil Olsvik, has been responsible for the recruiting of participants to The Knowledgeing Work-Shop. The result is good qualified and experienced persons, mainly from the child welfare institutions, but also vocational teams are represented. There are 6 participants, 4 woman and 2 men. The first gathering is in Tromsø the 4th of May 2007.

The group had its third meeting on June 15 and 16. A day and a half of compact program evenly divided between structural work and opportunities for reflection. The previous two meetings focussed on introductions and clarification of expectations. This time the participants shared dilemma situations from their work. The stories were followed up by reflections within the group, before each wrote his or her story, followed by a written reflection process. One comment on the stories was that they had some common features related to professional work: To meet people with respect – to be heard and seen – power and powerlessness. Other commented that this was already an informative process – and an inspiring one – which could be brought into their own practice. The meeting revealed powerful stories, was another comment. And, as a commentary to the advisors attempts to create some space between the many stories: Cuban music and fruit was a great idea!
